Moreover, the students of Year 1 and Year 4 of our school participated in the artistic program with a theatrical play on the ancient myth of the tulip: The primordial goddess Gaia, the personification of the Earth, blessed the wedding of the devine couple Zeus and Hera with a handful of red tulips. The tulip bulbs (tulipa agenensis) were planted in the distant northern Africa, in the garden of Hesperides, alongside other precious plants and were guarded by a fierce dragon.
According to the Greek mythology, the 11th heroic labour of Heracles was to outsmart the dragon and retrieve some of the golden apples that grew in the garden of Hesperides.

Illustration workshop for beginers - CYPRUS
In February 2023, the students of Years 4, 5 and 6 had the opportunity to participate in a workshop, organized at the Polemi Primary School, on the art of Illustration.
An illustration is more than a decoration; it is a visual explanation, an interpretation, a parallel semiotic system which supplements the text and narrates a story.
The objective of the workshop was to provide the students with basic guidelines and rudimentary skills that would be helpful for completing the task of illustrating our Mytheurology comic book.
The workshop was conducted and presented by two valued local artists: Panagiota Michael a professional graphic artist and cartoonist and, Charalambos Epameinondas a novelist of children's literature, an illustrator and byzantine iconographer.

During our project Erasmus + “MythEUROlogy” we promoted our activities among citizens of our town, by means of the local news website iKnurow.pl and the local newspaper “Przegląd Lokalny”. This gave people the opporunity to see how important the participation of our school in this project was: It gave students the chance to visit foreign countries, see their education systems, schools, practice English and become open to new cultures and traditions.
Moreover, regular posts online and paper articles made the project vivid in our city.
We hope that our actions encourage students to learn foreign languages and take part in more projects.
